i'm doing project life for both 2012 & 2013.
i finished up week 2 for PL 2013.
but i have yet uploaded them to my laptop.
so week 1 will do for now.

For this week, I used the seafoam edition. Man… I love this edition. Love the neutral colors and the
simplicity. However, along this process
I did find myself wanting to reach for one of my older or newer scrapbooking
kits from cocoa daisy. But I
resisted. So…I will be using a combo of
the seafoam and from my own stash of kits in future spreads. Other times I may use use seafoam by itself
or a kit by itself. Depends how I feel
that day.
Layout 1:
lots of photos of our baby selene. Maiya was in WA this whole week for part of her winter break so that’s why she is not making an appearance in these.
For this layout, I did real simple embellishing with letter stickers and some typed up journaling on the very 1st photo of the year. I used the Font app on my iphone for this one. Love finding great apps.
I didn’t have to slip in too much patterned paper since the other side was my cover. The only one I slipped in was one of the seafoam’s. I cut it up just enough to fill the bottom left photo. The other part of that one I used on the next layout.
Insert:
airline
passes & receipt from when our daughter Ashley flew back to to Idaho on new
year’s day, a upc label from selene’s prescription of aquaphor; a hot cocoa
packet. The other side of this insert I slipped in an amazon.com receipt and
attached the used gift card I got from my hubby from xmas. I purchased some
sharpie pens and an american crafts 3-d ring album which I’m currently using
for this project.
Layout 2:
I used a date card downloaded for free by joy
pribish. I’ll be using these each month
to divide out each month. I’ve seen
other PL’ers circle each day of that particular week, but I’m gonna just leave
mine be.
The top right journaling card
is also a free download, benign objects/Rachel wiles. I accidentally printed on it upside
down. Was planning to embellish the
upside “hello” but…I won’t, kinda like that way. My journaling is a bit blurred
up because i forgot to change my resolution to 300 dpi. But I made it up on the next layout.
Decked out one of the seafoam cards with die-cuts
from my cricut I did a long time ago. Doodled border around the last card with
colored pencils. So happy I purchased
those colored pencils from the bx, love the “sketchy” feel it gives out.
Layout 3:
journaling and simple embellishment with cardstock
& pre-punched shapes, doodled borders. You will always be seeing some type
of doodling in my layouts/spreads. It’s
that “finishing touch” for me.
Layout 4:
lots of photos, letter stickers, journaling on
photos. I love those letter and heart stamps by hero arts. They’re just the
right size & type for this project.
Gonna be using them often.
i love this project.
it definitely makes me smile. =)
