she's 2...two....a-pa-teeee!

ooopsies!
haven't posted in awhile.
vacay really threw me off these past 2 weeks.
but i'm slowly getting back to reality.

anyway...
selene turned the BIG 2 this past april 9th.
we celebrated with some cupcakes, dinner at famous dave's...
then a birthday trip to toys'r'us for the birthday girl...
she had fun...

she is talking more, funnier, sassier, feistier (is that a real word?), smarter, cuter and everything else-er.
definitely does a bit of the terrible 2'z.
but we love her anyway and no matter what.

now the goal is to get her potty trained.
slowly but surely she'll get to that milestone.
and when she does, i will be truly grateful.

hi-lites of a week

my vacay in WA is almost over...
we'll be coming back home tomorrow night.
so gonna miss this place especially my family!

but good things do have to come to an end...
plus we are missing my hubby/daddy.
and i know he misses us.

i was having a bad day that day and she noticed and handed this to me...
it made my day better...

selene was so distracted by the other kids, she didn't bother look at the camera...

maiya got her grade report for 2nd quarter....

we went to starbucks as a reward...

most of these were taken on my canon eos rebel xsi and the rest on my iphone.
i love both.
on occasion, i'll use my point and shoot, fujifilm finepix z, which is always in my purse when i don't feel like lugging the canon along.
i love this one too.
trying to use the canon for most of the month tho.

this past week has been:

cleaning house
doing lots of loads of laundry
organizing photos (i'm done with 2011 and january 2012, moving forward)
organizing memorabilia by year & month and placing them in expandable files by year
running, walking, zumba, working out
blog surfing/stalking

it's been a good week even with lil spurts of small nilly bad stuff (not worth talking about at this moment).
today is getting the baby bouncer sold, get a run in, laundry (yuck!), maybe start Project Life, dropping off maiya at the airport tonight.
maiya will be in wa with her dad for the martin luther king holiday weekend.
