featuring a fashionista

it's that time again to do a nice full reveal, fashion-week-style, on the ScrapTiffany blog today for the Weekly Challenge:  "Brads & Eyelets."  the ScrapTiffany Design Team and I have some fab-o-lous creations to show you today, so go on over and check it out and play along by clicking here: Week #29, Challenge, Part 2.

for my take, i did one on my daughter entitled "She is Maiya the Fashionista."  i used some alpha brads i got from Joann's Fabrics that were on sale as part of the title.  i also used some silver brads at the left top corner of my LO which added extra interest to the hand-cut arrows and it helped move the eyes towards the pictures.  then i decked out punched circles and punched stars with some different colored brads just to add a little texture and a little bling-y-ness to them.  for this LO, i used the Creative Scrappers sketch #112.  i love their sketches!

here it is, featuring of course, my baby boo:
and some close-ups of the brads deetz:
(supplies used:  Sassafras, Joann's, American Crafts, Fiskars, EK Success, Rubberstampede, Basic Grey)

have a beautiful friday and a great weekend!

wow!  another beautiful sunny warm day!  had lunch with my sis, sushi at koibito in tumwater. had the cali roll & shrimp tempura roll and oh so yumm-o!

got home and decided to do a card using sketch card # 52 from 2 Sketches 4 You.  here's my take:
a few deetz, used a Fiskars border punch and star punches, Hero Arts stamps that I just got yesterday using a gift card i got as a going away gift from former coworkers (love them!):

here's the inside of my card (can never forget the in's, it's special too!):
and for the outside back with my siggy:
gonna enjoy the rest of the day and continue my "everyday project."  hello sunshine.

PHOTOBOOTH - LOVE 4.2.10

well i think this will be a new tradition...taking photos in a photobooth, scrap it, entitle it as..."LOVE (followed by the date taken)"....

here's our first ever....i scrapped these 2 different ways.

this one i did as a going away gift for my stepdaughter, ashley, the day before she left home for idaho (sorry the photo is blurred, it was too dark outside to take it, so settled for the inside of the house, the lighting is not all that great for photos):

here's the 2nd lo using the same photo strip, i used mostly Basic Grey papers (love them!).  i also used a sketch from one of the online classes taught by Kelly Purkey, one of my scrappy idols.  here's my take:

love the deetz on this one.

yup, this will be a beautiful tradition.

nitey nite!

Wow! I'm still awake...it's past midnite!

Well I have been married for a week now! LOL! Before I lay me down to sleep, I wish to post my art to keep (sorry I can't rhyme!).

This is of Maiya wearing one of my headbands. Doesn't she look so adorable? I just love the Heidi Swapp transparency butterflies which adds to the simple journaling.

This one is of me & my husband. I created this LO the day before our wedding. I hand-cut pretty much everything on this LO. Love Rose Moka and Basic grey papers!
These next 4 LO's were all created from the March 09 Bad Girls main and add-on kits that I just got last Thursday. I love the goodies in these kits! I did a lot of fussy-cutting and really filled up the pages. All pix are from our engagement.

Now I can get some shut eyes. Nitey nite! Until the next posting w/c maybe tomorrow a.m.! Sweet Dreams!

It's that time again on Saturday!

it's cloudy and raining right now but it's not stopping me from being happy happy joy joy! one more day until I am Mrs. Jesse. Yes yes I know I already put it on my heading in my blog but hey it was bound to happen...i would have to change it anyway. just thought i would get ahead of the game! i'm such a preparer. Except when it comes to scrapping...i rarely plan it out I just go with the flow. But if i have a project that needs extra time and is extra special I plan a lil' bit, just a lil' bit. heehee...

here's an LO I did two Fridays ago. I just love how it turned out. I believe in destiny and how it comes about and why and what it will bring forth. So I did this LO based on that and used 4 wallet size pix of me that I took of myself right before a wedding reception. I used Tinkering Ink pp's and did a lot of fussy cutting, especially with the big flower I created on the right. i love the cut up ribbon and how it adds to the stem of the flower. so unique, don't you think? I really love how this LO turned out. Didn't I just say that awhile ago? oh well! I have to say this is one of my favez!

Hope you all have a Great Saturday!

Before I go...

Good morning! yes i'm an early birdie...before I start my day here's another layout (LO) --------<---. i also have this posted on www.badgirlskits.com and www.scrapinstyletv.com . i used papers from making memories, grungeboard by Tim Holtz sprayed with Glimmer Mist (Tattered Angels) and slathered with Making Memories glaze to add shine, edged with Gold Stickles, buttons (Basic Grey) and shells from my BF's bathroom (LOL!).
I love these pix of my BF, Jesse. This was when he was about 21 or 22, surfing to his heart's content. he still loves to do it but it's a bit hard to do it here in WA state.
well gotta go workout, do some pilates!
