its about the wedding...

well the 2nd one i mean...
that happened on 10/24/2009.
as you know i have been in the process of completing our 2nd ceremony/celebration of our wedding album.
i almost 95% done.
well that's why i've estimated.
this past saturday morning i completed 10 4x6 title cards for certain layouts in the album.
here they are:

here they are individually plus an extra one:

a few details:

and how it looks like in the album:

sorry its a bit on the blurry side.
i didn't take the photos in the right spot of the house.
thought there was enough light, but obviously not.
oh well.
i don't feel like taking them over again.
these will have to do for now.
i'm just extra happy i got them done.
pretty much all the supplies i've used on all the wedding layouts were used on these title cards.
i think i may have one more layout to do, but still debating if i should.
but i do still have to do like a little title card for the cover.
hmmm?
i'll let you know or share it with you when i've got that figured out.

have a goody good one!

thank u L.V.u

this weekend has been a good one and fast one.
me, selene & maiya pretty much were home bodies saturday.
it was actually a lazy saturday for me.
load of laundry, clean a little, very little.
got to scrap and blog surf.
maiya did some organizing in her room and bathroom.
she got rid of a lot of stuff from her bathroom drawers.
stuff that was just sitting in there.
so happy she did and i know she was too.

last night we pretty much watched a marathon of "my so-called life" on the sundance channel.
that show didn't last long but i have to say it was pretty good.
and maiya kept saying last night, "i love this show."
i love it too.
so happy i found it while browsing friday night.

today i got to complete my week 6 of project life 2012.
i love that project.
it's nice being able to share it with maiya and hubby.
they love it too and always, "this is so cool."
yes it is.
thank you becky higgins for coming up with this fab-o-lous idea!
i will forever be doing it.

anyway, before i go and enjoy the rest of my "ME QT" here at starbucks...
gotta a wedding layout to share....
this one is a tribute to my hubby..
"thank you"
....for sharing this life w/me,
...for being my husband,
...for being my best friend,
...for being loved by you.

i used the negative of a basic grey chipboard letters board for my title.
i didn't have enough letters for the whole title so i just improvised.
i'm gonna be using this technique on future layouts.
so cool.
i love how scrapbooking is so flexible.

lots of doodling, punching, stapling, popping up.
i used a therm o web pop up dots backing as part of matting my photo.
punched it with my new border punch, ek success swiss cheese.
actually got it from wal-mart.

the circle stamp border is from michael's from awhile back.
i love circles and so i had to get this one.
so happy it's getting into my layouts.

i love you hubby.

supplies:  cardstock: bazzill; patterned papers: 7gypsies, basic grey; stamp: Michael's; ink:  stampcraft; border punch:  ek success; punches:  ek success, fiskars; letters:  basic grey; pen, marker:  sharpie; white pen:  uniball signo; jewels:  prima; misc: staples

2 layouts with people i love

sharing a couple of wedding layouts i created these past 2 saturdays...

of me & my mom:

love the 7gypsies stamps...

of my hubby & my sis-in-law:

a lil mishap on the journaling...but did a good cover-up:  drew border
lines thru it, then re-wrote the real stuff underneath it.

free-hand cutting of all the patterned papers, some tone-on-tone
punched circles for accents.

in both layouts did my signature doodled borders to finish them both off.
gosh i love how these turned out.
my hubby of course really loved the 2nd one.

that's 2 down for the wedding album!

hoping to get this album done soon.

talking about albums...
did my PL 2012 week 3 this morning.
i'll share it soon too.
it's late and it's time to get some zzzzz'zzzzz.

nitey nite.

quickie but goodie layout

doing a quick post of another wedding scrap layout i did this past saturday early morning....
this one is of our 2 daughters, maiya & ashley.
the photo was taken on 10/24/2009.
so they pretty much look real different now.

anyway...

sharing is caring...

i used a coaster from somewhere i can't remember where from to use as a template for the circles.
then drew a couple of freeform circles in a couple of those circles.
dotted around a couple of circles too.
used some silver ink from stampcraft and clear stamps from7gypsies on top of my circles.
used the clear arrows in that set too.
i cut up the patterned papers by basic grey & colorbok using my cutter and my scissors on opposite sides of them
i kinda like that not so straight edge look.
i'll be using that technique again.
then the scraps from those, i adhered them above my photos.
can't waste anything right?
a few punched shapes here and there, stickles glitter glue, doodled border, and very little journaling finished it up.
i had fun doing this one because of all of the freeform stuff.
that's why i love scrapbooking...anything goes!

continuing my photo-a-day, project life, and life in general.

what's a bummer is my external drive went caput the other day and i freaked out a bit.
beeping sound and flickering light and not responding onto my laptop or any computer in the house.
but i know it'll get resolved.
it will.
it betta.
wish me luck and hope for the best.

thanks for stopping by!

these 3....another wedding layout

sharing another scrap page layout i did this past saturday...
this one is of our 2 oldest daughters and my hubby...
of course...
i used scraps from our wedding ceremony/reception...
m.u.s.t....r.e.c.y.c.l.e....i.t.s...a...g.o.o.d...t.h.a.n.g!
the brads, ribbons, black-white polka dot paper, stamps are from the collection from michael's.
this stuff is literally from the wedding decor.
then there are jenni bowlin papers from an old, old a million memories kit.
added some glimmer mist spray ink in slate and crackle paint in red by ranger.
used some punches by ek success & martha stewart.
got some tone on tone with the circles and of course my doodling of the border and on the american crafts letter stickers as the final touch.
love how this one turned out.
i'm on a roll baby!

here it is....

and the lil deetz of course...
ya can't forget about 'em!

it seems i can't get away from finishing a layout with doing some kind of paint, ink, circles and doodling of some form.
is this my signature?
i guess so.
but then again it could change...
or stay the same.
who knows.

oh...
sometime this week i'll share my project life cover pages for 2012 & 2013.
so excited to really dive into this.
diving slowly but surely.

i've got key spouse training later this morning.
and for some reason i'm excited about it.
do you see me jumping for joy?

heehee..
