i'm thinking of starting something on this blog...
a lil insight on today's happenings from my point of view.
let's see how i keep up with it, huh?
just wanted to start something different and new.
plus it will give me an excuse to post more often on this blog.
and possibly use some of it on scrapbook pages and/or project life.
been seriously thinkin' of jumpin' on the bandwagon and simplifying scrapping memories.
here it goes...
woke up with a sleepy selene right beside me and put her in her bassinet;
morning routine of brushing the teeth, scrubbing/exfoliating my face with something i'm trying out, neutrogena's scrub, bathroom time
selene woke up with a lil cry and then looked at me...then she smiled.
got her out, diaper change time...whew! it was a "heavy" diaper!
packed up maiya's snack and filled up her water bottle for school
made a 2-cup pot of decaf coffee
cleaned up the living room a lil bit
woke up maiya
got her breakfast of frosted cheerios
got a bottle ready for selene
oatmeal with walnuts, cranberries, cinnamon & brown sugar for breakfast
decaf coffee milk with a lil hazelnut cream
watched some tube with maiya while having breakfast in the living room
7:08 a.m. fed selene
7:18 a.m. changed into some workout clothes
7:31 a.m. headed over to maiya's school to drop her off
chilled with selene
stretched while watching tv
a nice morning walk (we walked about 40 minutes!) & catch-up talk w/ a friend, kristy (gotta head over pt magoo, 3rd st promenade, legoland)
john, one of our neighbors, dropped off jesse's bike
chatted a lil bit with him about our lil ones and las vegas (that's where he & his family are moving to)
chilled and fed selene
went to the commissary to buy a few things, especially size 3 diapers, luvs by the bulk
headed over to the thrift shop here on base
wasn't planning to buy anything, i just wanted to browse...
but i found & bought a zutter bind-it-all coil for only $2.00!
got hungry and got some bk, italian chicken sandwich with extra marinara sauce, a small coke & and some onion rings
went home to eat there
blog surfed, emails, blog surfed
fed selene and she fell asleep as soon as she was done
decided to post on my blog and do this timeline
watching sex & the city's episode, "an american girl in paris (part deux)"
blog surfing and relaxing before it's time to pick up maiya from school
checking out liz tamanaha's site, i love her simple scrappy style.
seriously, thinking of going a minimalist route on the scrappy level.
thinking i should be doing my "week in my life" project or organizing my photos which are sitting on the dining table...hmmm...it's been there for awhile...hmmmm.
just heard selene squirming on the baby monitor.
sleep a little longer lil one...pretty please????
gonna wake up the lil one from her nap
gotta get ready to pick up maiya soon.
maiya pick-up time
@ maiya's school waiting for the school bell to ring
listening to adele in the car while we wait, love her cd.
school is out
maiya had a great day and learned about the different missions within the state of cali
home sweet home
brought in all the groceries from earlier.
oops forgot about them in the trunk, good thing there wasn't anything that needed refrigeration.
pooper scooper, the last of it since now we no longer have a dog (it didn't quite work out, the dog was starting to become a bit aggressive when she was being disciplined plus she was starting to bite and she drew blood from me once and it could have been another time too. sorry that it didn't work out but relieved and at peace and happy "i have my house back!")
recycling done and cleaned the bin, it was getting a bit yucky.
started cooking dinner: bucatini with marinara with artichokes (giada de laurentis' brand from target)
baby food time for selene: apricots with mixed fruit
she ate ALL of it!
then had 5 ozs of milk afterwards!
she's an eater all right!
boiling the water for the bucatini
watching the dog whisperer
blog surfing at the same time: vee jennings (love her freestyle! she is totally giving me inspo to do project life too)
poured in the bucatini
note to self: never do it with the pot strainer, the pasta gets stuck in the holes, this pasta is much thicker, too thick for this strainer
ate some that dinner...yumm-o!
we at in front of the tv (oh well...sue me! we still manage to have "quality time" talks even then.)
exhausted from cleaning and my foot was hurting
relaxation time...at least for a little bit.
changed a diaper
called my mom
selene is hungry again, bottle time.
didn't i just feed her?
watched some recorded bravo tv, watch what happens live, part of a movie, evan almighty.
jesse called; talked about our day, selene, maiya, whether or not we'll be able to go to lake tahoe (it all depends on $$$)
wrote maiya's teacher, mrs myers, and her school office a letter regarding her follow-up appt this friday for her left knee
then hung out with selene & maiya while she was doing her homework
selene was crying her lungs out behind her fence in the living room, she could see me at the computer writing up the letter
watched restaurant impossible, wow that was one filthy resto!!!! yikes!
she fell asleep right away after finishing it up
laid selene in her bassinet for the night
finished watching restaurant impossible
sleepless in seattle is on!
watching it while blog surfing some more project life inspo
i'm getting tired & sleepy now.
i'm prob gonna turn in soon.
but maiya is still doing her homework, she has an assignment due tomorrow, her CUPS? (Capitilize necessary word, Use words correctly, Punctuation, Spelling is correct, and the ? = does the sentence make sense? cool acronym to learn by).
time to brush my teeth and get ready for bed
wow! that was a long timeline!
gotta think of another way of doing this.
maybe next time i'll just do increments and just list my happenings/doings that way.
doing this exact time stuff requires constant documentation, which takes more time.
but then again, it has made me realized more of what's going on throughout my day.
but...time is of essence and simple is better and is a timesaver.
i guess the format will be a work-in-progress, huh?
have you timelined your day?
what's your technique?
sharing is caring....
