scrappy boo & a new gadget

i'm back online now!

before i share why i'm back online now, i want to share something my lil boo made yesterday.
she created an under the sea project using just cardstock, glue, & markers.
here it is:

she created coral reefs, fish, a jellyfish, a starfish...

isn't she so talented?
she did it all by herself!

and now for the main reason i'm back online....

drum roll...please!

laptop!!!!

well actually i just hit the reset button on my router after trying so many times to figure out what was wrong with my connection....

duh...wish that tip came up before those tries...
oh well...

here it is...
my hubby bought it just a week ago, sneaky hubby...

yes...
i am spoiled!

a few things

well we spent our thanksgiving holiday here in WA....
and now i don't want to leave.
but we have to cuz lil boo has school monday.
we'll be back in a couple of weeks.

anyways, since i'm here at family's and a computer is accessible...
i can download and upload a few things...

for our 2nd wedding ceremony album...
slowly getting to it...

a birthday card for a special niece in missouri...
happy birthday!

and a layout i did for my sis's friend...

going home on an early flight tomorrow back to CA.
it's back to the same routine again...
at least for a couple of weeks!

hello everyone...
i have been having some problemos with internet connections at home...
it's just not working...
so sad...
so i'm using the base's library computer for now...
but can't doing any uploading or downloading due to base policy restrictions...

so i just wanted to let you all know...
that i'll try my best to blog what i can..
but for now...
wanted to send you my deepest apologies...

hopefully things will be fixed soon...
and hopefully i can upload something...

oh to be thrifty on thrifty thursday

hey everyone..
first off...
happy veteran's day!

before i go off today w/ my lil boo into the city, just thought i would share something.

today i'm featured on ScrapTiffany for the weekly Thrifty Thursday.
make sure you go check me out and what i came up with there too.

here's my layout featured on ScrapTiffany:

the thriftiness:  using doilies as background embellies.
i just used a 1" circle punch and adhered to a cardstock.
matted my photo, a few accents and voila!

btw, i used an old photo of my daughter when she was 4, thus the title.

hello everyone!

welcome to the ScrapTiffany Blog Hop, November 8 thru November 9, 2010!

i came up with 2 projects.
the first is a layout.
the second is a nice little book board greeting for the holidays.

on my first project, i did a simple layout using a multitude of photos.

i used a light beige cardstock as my base, added a patterned paper with a punched border...
then i embellished my layout with punched circles, chipboard, letter stickers, brads.
the final touch was the cute pink ribbon in the middle.

here's what i used with the finished project:

for my second project...

i used a couple of book covers from 7gypsies, book binding tape, patterned papers, flowers, snowflakes, letter stickers, punched circles.
i cut out the pp to the size of the book covers, adhered it with tacky glue...
then used book binding tape to attach the boards together...
attached the letter stickers, flowers, and punched circles as embellies...

pretty simple and super easy!

OB appointment #3

i had my 3rd ob apptmt this past thursday.
no ultrasound pix to share this time.
but i did hear her heartbeat.
and it's as healthy as can be!

since i don't have any ultrasound pix, just thought i would share something else...
here's what i wore to my appointment....
a cute shirt my parents got for me from the philippines on their last trip there...
heehee...

color challenge

this week's challenge on ScrapTiffany:  color challenge.

i did mine using a photo my hubby & i took during dinner right before the Black Eyed Peas concert in tacoma, wa.
here's my take w/ the deetz:

the journaling is from lyrics from a song by alicia keys, distance & time.
i really love this song and the words b/c it really explains what me & my hubby are going thru at the moment since he's thousands and thousands of miles away.
i've posted it before, but i'll use a different video:
