rock park

yesterday afternoon, maiya and i went to "rock park" actually it's really called huntamer park.  but she like to call it rock park.  it rained at first, but thank goodness it stopped.

100 things

i have been meaning to do an lo of 100 things list of things/stuff/ppl i love...but to be honest, i was just plain lazy to actually do one. i got my list down, but again laziness, but mostly i just wasn't ready to do it plus i just couldn't find the right scrappy papers and supplies to do it.  well... no more laziness, i'm ready...

i used the A Million Memories February 2010 kit for this one.  cosmo cricket pp's rawk!, plus it went so well with one of my fave colorz, PURPLE. i used a purple cardstock here by Wausau.  i love their cardstock along with a few other mfr's.  this one had a pearly look to it, you can't see it here, but it has that "shiny-ness" my daughter loves. 100 things...here it comes...

i just love all the buttons, rub-ons, the Sassafras dimensional flowers, and pretty much everything this kit had to play with.  i used an excel spreadsheet to do the journaling to make sure i had a good count of 100 here.

on this one, i punched some circles, crumpled them and adhered one on top of each other to create simple easy peasy flower accents:

sweet tooth

ever since my wedding i've been having a major sweet tooth for.....ta-da.....

CUPCAKES!!!!!

here's a wedding sweet treat:

 

 my friend, veronica helped decorate them with deep red carnations.  i made the little heart stix, just a heart punch, glue and store bought stix from michael's.  they really made them extra yummy!

my daughter & i made some cupcakes last weekend with cream cheese frosting, yumm-o!  i tried to find the red cake mix but wal-mart didn't have it so we used food coloring instead. it didn't turn out as red as we liked, but that didn't stop us from eating these sweeties.

i think i ate 5  that day! but hey i don't usually eat sweets, so it's all good.

American Crafts... i love you!

well i have been blog hopping along and came across one of my fave blogs, American Crafts and decided to finally take a plunge and go for one of the sketch challenges.  i did this lo using Elizabeth Carney's sketch posted on the American Crafts blog.  i used the January 2010 Little Redscrapbook kit w/c had a bunch of AC products, the Letterbox collection.  here's my take:

i did this lo for a sketch challenge on Pencil Lines, #174.  did a bit of spray inking with Glimmer Mist.  love that stuff! circle and butterfly punches (one of my fave tools btw!), distressing, love all the colors and voila!  a beauty (the 3 girlies are beauties too, don't cha think? lol!).  one of my crazies right now is punching out circles and butterflies from the same colored/patterned cardstock/papers & adhering it to the same cardstock or paper. it just adds a little texture and funness to my lo's.  enuff blabbing...here it is...

sistas...aren't they great?  my sis jo is one of my bestest bestest friends.  just had to do an lo on our relationship. here it is using the AMM January 2010 kit...

My sis & I have always been very close. We have had our own ups & downs with each other.  We can never stay mad at each other for very long.  We miss each other when we haven’t seen each other for one day.  We live less than 5 minutes from each other & we still FB & call just to say what’s up.  She’s definitely my bff & that’s never gonna change no matter what.  I’m definitely gonna miss her so much when I move to cali this summer.  Of course we’ll keep in touch, no doubt about that.  The miles away from each other is just gonna make us even closer than we already are.  It’s an excuse to go on a plane ride or road trip just to get away from everyday routine life, even go to Vegas baby!

a pre-valentine's (2/6/2010) @ adriatic grill

yumm-o!  great italiano food! we had a pre-valentine's celebration dinner at adriatic grill in tacoma (wa).  omgoodness...the food was da bomb!  here's a few pix:

 

we also got some free dessert, even yummie-o-o!  chocolate cheesecake, vanilla ice cream, hazelnut crunch, and some cocoa balls (sorry don't remember what they were actually called, but it was yum!)

thank you babez for taking me there! it was delishly romantic...mahal.
