head on over to ScrapTiffany for my 1st ever blog post for this Wednesday Hijack. i talk about keeping a gratitude journal.
i think it's so important to remind yourself of what you are grateful for on a daily basis. write it down...on a piece of scrap paper and stash it away in a nice container, on a sticky note and stick on your computer, your mirror or anywhere you can see it. you can also blog about it in a private or public blog.... any way is great as long as you have it in writing and you can look back on it and say "so grateful i did this and that."
here's a few sneakz of what's in store at today's ScrapTiffany's Wednesday Hijack (<-----click here!!!):
and a journal i bought a couple of weeks ago from walmart for my future next entries:
don't you think the owl is oh soooo cute! can hardly wait to start using this. no need to deck out the outside of this one.
what are you grateful for? today...me...i'm grateful for being on a great design team.
so go on over to ScrapTiffany and show off the creative side of you on what you're grateful for. and feel free to leave me a comment and a link...i would love to see what you do! yey-yah!

it's been too long for a sneaky peeky
omigosh! it's been way too long since i've posted anything.we did not have internet for a few days and finally we do! yey-yah!
anyhooo....here's a sneaky peeky for next week's challenge on ScrapTiffany. i'll post the full reveal next week.
i haven't done any pages for one of my fave sketch blogs, Pencil Lines. this is sketch #195. this is my first layout not using a photo with no peepz in it. this photo was taken during my time on vacation and having some breakfast with my milk coffee and a fave movie of mine, Juno.
and here are close-ups:
i used some American Crafts and Cosmo Cricket papers. i've had the American Crafts papers for quite some time and finally used it for the perfect photo. i really love this LO because of the bright colors. my hubby said this one was "so cool." heeeheee.
here's some updates on a non-scrappy note....
we moved into our house this past wednesday and we've just been busy busy unpacking all the boxes...which we have already done...now we just have to organize organize. da hubby has started painting just accent walls, the living area is painted. but here is how it looks...
it took me a day each for our master bath & bedroom and then today all day for my daughter, maiya's room to unpack everything out of the boxes. the kitchen was the first to be totally done and everything put in its place. my scrap area will take the longest i think to organize. from what the hubby says we may have to do an ikea-run in burbank. hmmmm...what to get what to get? that is the question. moving, unpacking and organizing is hard work!
last sunday, i flew maiya out to seattle so she can spend the rest of the summer with her dad.
i am sooooo missing her. i cried while unpacking and organizing her room. i'm okay now. she'll be back home with us on august 15th. until then i'm gonna keep busy busy.
wow...it's almost midnite...and i'm getting tired. so it's nitey nite. lataz!!!!!

first friday in sunny cali
yup yup! it's our very 1st friday in sunny cali! hubby is at a housing orientation (sorry babez didn't know what else to call it). yesterday we looked at a couple of houses and got one. now we just need all our stuff from storage and hoping to move in next week...hopefully. then we'll be reunited with all our belongings especially my scrappy stuff... i miss you! lol!
anyway, i did manage to get some scrapping done while on our road trip. i got 1 1/2 pages done. i have yet finished the 2nd one but will do in the very near future.
here's the 1st one i completed which is for our hawaii honeymoon album...on our second day there, we went to north shores. beautiful, windy and i have to say the biggest and strongest waves i've experienced. i should know since i was thrown down to the ground by one while taking close photos of the water, my camera almost got soaked. but i was laughing the whole time! heehee...anywhooo, here's my page:
and for the lil deetz that make a difference too:
(supplies: SEI, EK Success, American crafs, Stampcraft, Jesse James & Co, Adtech)
today, we're gonna cruise over to lancaster city to check out the scenery, happenings, the mall, etc. then head back over here to attend the annual summer bash for the 4th of July weekend. gonna have to apply lots and lots of sunscreen and have me some fun!
check out this video...the sunny-ness made me think of this song.
well gotta wakey our other princess! have a wonderful 4th of July weekend!

California Love
we're finally here in edwards afb of cali! and i'm so relieved. we're finally home.
anyway, we're here! it took us approximately 1,240 miles to get here from lacey, wa! wow! the road trip was actually pretty smooth and the scenery was beautiful. there were specks of green over the sandy brownness, the mountains were so gorgeous.
we first stopped in lincoln city, oregon and checked in at surftides. we were able to enjoy the oregon coast beach. dang it was windy, a bit cold and and the water was freezing but the views were spectacular.
the next day we were on the road and landed in redding, ca:
then the next couple of nights were in concord, ca. we went to the waterpark near by. unfortuntately i did not get a chance to take any photos while we were there. i was going to buy an underwater camera over there, but they were selling them for $14.99 a pop, w/c i felt was a bit of a rip off! so i settled on a brochure and scrapped in my gratitude journal. but we did go for some semi-homemade breakfast at the local denny's and took a few pix of our sleepyheads before heading to the waterpark. we also did the jelly belly bean tour and got lots of jelly beans of all kinds of flavors.
i got sunburnt a bit but not as bad as it was when i went snorkeling in hawaii last year. thank gosh for major sunscreen applications.
our final road trip was wednesday to our new home...
i love me some california lovin. check out this video by clicking here.
we are off to do some cruisin of the area. see ya!
