well guess what?  one of my dreams has come true:

I MADE IT ON A DESIGN TEAM!!!!!!  YEY-YAH!!!!!

beginning this july i will be designing for:

i'm soooo excited!  weeeeeehhhh!!!!   

i had applied pretty much at the last minute, the day before the deadline.  I couldn't figure out which of my pages and an altered item to submit, so much pressure!  heehee...

and lastly, "For the love of cycle & speed" (my altered project I did for my hubby for our 1st yr wedding anniversary)

my term is from July 1, 2010 thru December 31, 2010.   yey-yah!  i just could not believe it at first when Tiffany had emailed that i was chosen, my heart skipped a beat or 2.  but then i believed it...weeeeeehhh!  it's on now!  can hardly wait to go thru the challenges and try new things.  thanks Scrap Tiffany...you really made my week!  thank you for this wonderful opportunity!

as you can tell, i have revamped my blog a bit...still trying to decide if i like this.  i'll be shaping up this site step by step, little by little.  i need to change up my slide show or show my previous work in another way...just haven't decided on that yet, i may add some music, who knows....if you got some suggestions, i'm all open.  all i know is i want to keep on the simple.  ya know what i mean?  just don't want to spend too much time on the design of this blog, i would rather put into my projects.  simple simple simple.

finally...it's happened to me...

i did a thank you card for a wonderful family who has done so much for my hubby...used almost all American Crafts on this one and Lauren's sketch #54 from 2S4Y:

i have two "finally's" to announce.  the first i can show and tell, the second will have to wait a bit.

"finally"  #1:

i finished my everyday album...done!  here's a before and after of the whole album:

a total of 78 pages.  whew!  the things i would do differently next time:  just do an exact week, use page protectors and page protector dividers.  this was a long process but i'm glad i did it and i'm glad it's DONE. most of all i'm glad now that i have something to look back on and not take the little things for granted that happen almost everyday.

"finally" #2:  one of my other scrappy dreams has come true, but i can't say what it is until the announcement has been made on the Scrap Tiffany blog.  all i can say is:  I'M SO EXCITED!!!!  FINALLY IT'S HAPPENED TO ME!


today...

1. i will need to gather a few scrappy stuff to take along our road trip to cali
2. at least clean the toilet bowls (i like to do things little by little)
3. pick up Maiya at the bus stop
4. bake some balsamic rosemary chicken wings for dinner

i have been working on my everyday album the past few days.   all photos have been glued in.  added the patterned papers and journaling strips for 5.16.10 thru 5.22.10.  working on the last day 5.23.10, need to add the papers, strips.  then embellie them all out.  i'll take photos once the whole album is complete and post them soon.

i'll be working on a card tomorrow for someone who has helped out my dh a great deal.  she is not only a wonderful assistant, but also a beautiful person.  gotta also work on another father's day card.

my daughter, maiya, is learning how to ride a bike for the first time.  soon she'll be able to ride with the whole family!  yey-yah!  she has learned to balance and is starting to get the hang of "starting out,", braking and turning.  once she gets that, it's all good!  my one and only loving dh is teaching her how.  i love you babez, thanks so much for doing this and all that you have and will be doing for her!  here she is...

this past weekend has been a busy but fun one.

saturday, it was our going-away party at my sis's.  lots of yumm-o food and great friends and family!

i made this....honey gorgonzola bruschettas....it was gone before the end of the nite!

sunday, ashley's 10th bday party (we celebrated way in advance, her actual bday is in july), the party was at the laser fun zone here in lacey...she had so much fun and she won 1st place in laser tag.  here's a few snappies:
