finally sharing a mini album i made for my mom...
and a card i made for mom-in-law..

sorry that things are outta order & not the right way...
tried to fix it but really got impatient with it...

day 22 thru 24...

had to do this in color of course...
she's very very pretty in "pink"...
but then again she is pretty in everything...

what would the kiddos nowadays do without "technology"

they would probably say...."i would die without my iphone/smartphone/laptop, etc."
kiddos nowaydays won't ever know that there was a world without these thangz...
sorry my babiez....
but you are spoiled...
so be grateful!

and here's "something new" for selene...
bought her 2 more sippy cups...
she is doing fine during the day with it...
bottle before bedtime...
but now..
gotta start weening her off before bedtime...
wish us luck.

today:

• worked out...
• load of laundry, actually 2...
• straightened up the house as best i could while selene naps...
• post to my blog finally...
• pick up maiya from school...
• drop her off for taekwondo...
• meet up with a friend at the pool around 330ish while maiya is at taekwondo, it'll just be me & selene...
• for dinner, hotdogs as per maiya's request

aaaahhhh....

something i've got to get off my chest for a bit....

first off, i would like to say thank you to all who follow my blog.
i also appreciate it even more when i get positive comments.
i try my best to keep this thing on a positive note even when i have a bad day.
but when something really makes me upset or i just have to vent when i have a bad day or something really bothers me...
well...
i'll vent.
life has its ups & downs.

regarding comments....
i monitor all of them and for the most part, 99.9% of the time...
it's great & positive.
then there is the .1% that i read...
that never ever get posted on my comments block...
i decide to delete them or they don't "pass my test" of being constructive criticism
i can take criticism..
but when it's not "constructive" & positive or there are "certain words" one uses that's hurtful...
then one should not get offended that i don't post them on here.
hope you understand.

and that's all i got to say about that.

selene is still going thru separation anxiety w/ me...
but luckily there are some times when she "allows" others to take care of her...
lol...
she can be picky i guess.
this day my hubby was able to feed her breakfast...
a bonding moment...=)

and this is what i'm currently reading....

i am not a novel reader.
i'd rather read finance stuff & some "life" stuff books.
i love suze orman.
i love her shows and make sure to record it every saturday nite.
she is one of the peepz i would love to meet in person.
much respect for her.
as she always says...
"people first, then money, then things."
so true.

the emphasis is suppose to be on the grass...

day 13, "mom"

i am mom to 3 girlz...
our eldest lives in idaho & she'll be with us in 14 days.
yey-yah!
we miss & love you ashley!

here's my photo-a-day share...

got a lovely morning greeting from my hubby & selene,
then maiya brought me a milk coffee while i was still in bed watching some supernanny,
then she came in with 3 chocolate chip pancakes, 3 turkey bacons & some syrup (thanks to my hubby for cooking it!)
then brushed my teeth and washed my face,
put away a load of laundry,
then i was surprised by a huge drawing card from maiya,
a card, nice storage boxes & a storage cart i've wanted from my hubby with a card,
then a nice "mommy i want you" from selene.
chilled and watched hope floats and some other tv stuff.
hubby is gonna cook up some enchiladas for dinner later!
yumm-o!
i am a lucky mama!

some "me" time

this is "something that makes me happy"...
some quiet "me" time....
my hubby took the girlz out shopping for paint and to give me a break...

got to scrap a card, clean my scrap area & living room, vacuumed a lil bit..
now time for a post of day 12 photo-a-day share....

i wish for a whole day next time.
i can either b.s.; scrap, organize & file, or do wuteva!

well this is one of the corners of this huge kitchen...
lots of counter space...
lots of drawers & cabinets...
a nice window with a view of some of the trees...
a big pantry...
can you believe this is base housing?
yeah...
that's what i said.
wish all kitchens were this size!
a few changes that i would do if i could:

• granite counters
• stainless steel appliances
• a nice backsplash
• and some wood floors
• nicer wood cabinets
• more organized cabinets & drawers
• and opened to the whole house

and it would be a perfecto kitchen!
a girl can dream, right?

on the daily

day 9, "something you do everyday"
me?
working out in some form:  jog/walk, walk, stretches, weights, abs, medicine ball.
i try to do cardio 3-5x a week, and some form of body exercise 2-3x a week.
this day i did a jog/walk followed by stretches & ab work...

and today, day 10, "your favorite word"

this was a thank you gift for my cousin & her fam for letting us stay over the night last saturday....
bought a storage jar for $6.99, candles a $1.89 each, scrap supplies from my stash, total cost about $25!!!

crate paper & basic grey papers...

love the letter stickers even tho i can't remeber the brand..

and a sneaky peeky on a mother's day gift...

ooopsies...
haven't shared any photos the past 2 days...
was out of town visiting family in buena park.
hubby did a marathon earlier this morning, he did it in 1:58.
so proud of you babez!!!

anyhoo, for some reason this whole weekend really exhausted me hella (yikes...that's an ole skewl word..yikes)

did a walk & jog in the morning for an hour...
only jogged the 1st half...
walked the next.
and my foot doesn't hurt.
i think i might be back in the game peepz!!!!

the workout totalled to a 5K.

day 5, bird...
no birds in sight...
so but this one beautiful one is way betta!

and today, day 6, "you"
i've had this tat for years!
can't even remember when i got it.
but i do remember i got it the same time my bro got his.
treated him for one for his bday...

got to get more ink done.
i'm seeing stars in my future.

i have been so behind on creating stuff.
it's just a bit hard when ya have a 1 yr old who won't take long naps.
like right now...
i had just put her down for a nap about 5 minutes ago...
and she is awake.
she is just making little noises as i type this.
i'm also hoping to get some finance stuff done...
even just a little bit.

we'll see how it goes.

it's a new month...
and i'm again gonna be doing another month of fat mum slim's photo-a-day challenge.
here's the list:

here is my day 1:

she is always at "peace" when she is a sound asleep.
which gives me peace too.
gives me time to take a lil break.
or time to do some chores.
or even scrap a layout or card or project.
just as long as she sleeps long enough.
lately it hasn't been so in her bassinet by herself during the day.
she will take LONG naps in my arms or even someone else's.
can be a good thang, can be a bad thang.
hopefully she'll get back into those longer naps snuggly in her bassinet.
we'll see.

she's growing too fast

is that a good thing?
or is it a bad thing?

it is both.

good b/c she has so much to look forward to and so do we.
bad b/c a part of me doesn't want her to grow too fast.
and that's "something that makes me sad" a lil bit.
hey that's also day 30's theme for the final photo of the day for this month.

it's funny how babies can look back and then just keep moving forward w/o even thinking twice.
it's not like us adults...
sometimes we dont want to move on from the past...
and we either don't...
or we do and we do think twice about it.
i have to admit that i am and/or have been one of those peepz.
but...
i mostly move on.
got to..
for my sake
and my family's sake
and especially for my girlz.
this photo will always remind of just that.
life goes on no matter what.

everytime i get on my laptop...
she is either screaming her head off...
probably to get my attention...

she is getting into my bizness...
or...
she wants to compute like mama...
well whichever it is...
she just does it no matter what...
it sometimes annoys the heck out of me...

it makes me laugh.

baby busy life has taken over...

• took a nap...wow!
• bbq-ing some chicken in the slow cooker...
• marinading some other chicken to bake for dinner tonight...
• gonna pick up maiya from school...
• then do a small grocery run...
• maybe mop a little...
• cook dinner, make some real mashed potatoes (not from the box, thank you very much!)...
• maybe cook the taco meat for later on this week...

trying to multi-task cook...
we'll see how it goes.
