yesterday and the day before

wasn't able to share my photo-a-day yesterday..
just plain forgot.
but here's day 7, shadow, and day 8, in my wallet...

after we dropped off maiya at the airport...

i've got a small wallet w/ only the essentials...

friday night, we had dinner at the yard house....

yes, my infamous bathroom selfie...

one of the best strawberry mojitos i've had (but it still doesn't beat hawaii's)

peppered crusted gorgonzola burger, one of the best i've had too

an upclose of now one of my favez...

the yard house crowd finally died down.
when it 1st opened in palmdale, the wait was over 45 minutes.
that night we only waited less than 10.

saturday morning we dropped off maiya at the burbank airport.
she is spending spring break in WA as you know.
i wish she was with us, but that's my selfishness talking.
she'll be back home this coming sunday nite.

after we dropped her off, we headed to palmdale for lunch.
chiptole...my hubby has been craving it.
we just never went back b/c maiya isn't a big fan.
but opportunity knocked for us this time, so we took advantage.
i had the burrito bowl (chicken, pico de gallo, brown rice, a lil sour cream).
yumm-o.

gave her some of my chicken, lil itsy bits...

she wasn't too interested in it, as you can see...

i picked up a couple of their menus b/c loved the look and plus it was printed on some good quality kraft cardstock.
memorabila ya know.

last nite, me, hubby and selene went for a nite walk.
it was nice b/c we got to to talk about stuff about ourselves.
like how we both can be bossy and demanding.
and how we need to put each other in check if we go over board.
i felt a sense of relief now that we got that out in the open.
communicate, communicate, communicate.
aaaaahhhhh.

today is...

laundry day
scrappy day ( i haven't done a page in so long!!!! i've done bday cards, but not pages)
gotta put in some time for groceries w/in budget of course.

we'll see how things go..

selene is finally taking her nap.
gotta pick maiya from school.
then gonna head over to the community park for the "play in the park day" event.
luckily, it's just a walk away, less than 5 minutes.

and it was a very windy, cold afternoon for this lil one....

got a lil too curious, she was about to put this lil stone in her lil mouth!

and she made the honor roll...

went to her assembly earlier this a.m.....

way to go maiya!

i'm so proud of you!

and she was too!

happy is as happy does

she is one of the peepz who make me happy...
awake or sleeping...

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....

got some teething gel..
and boy it really helped her out...
b/c right after i slathered some on, gave her the last few ounces of milk...
she was crashed gone!
she is napping at this very moment.
got to do some laundry, relaxed a bit, my to-do list, blog post.
and i'm about the upload a few pix to snapfish after this.
there's a deal going on...1 cents per photo for 300 prints.
yey-yah!
just have to take a few more and i'll reach my 300 goal.
might do them while picking up maiya from school.

64 years young

happy birthday dad/ampa!
today is 64 years young for him.

he already got this so i can share it now...

(supplies used: old amm kit - pink paislee papers, american crafts cardstock, punches: fiskars, ek success, martha stewart)

pretty much used scraps and negatives from punches.
love it!

day 3 photo-a-day share, "mail"

went for our morning walk and dropped off some mail at the box.
paid a 2-year subscription to scrapbooks etc...

after our walk took a few photos...

selene's 1st tooth is now coming out...
and it was really bothering her.
time to go buy some teething gel.
she finally is taking a nap.
a little struggle for her b/c of her tooth.
but after an ounce of some milk, she's down & crashed.

had this for lunch today, leftovers from last night...

always a hit with the family.
selene liked little itty bits of it too.
chicken adobo.
added some frozen corn to it.
last night we had rice with it.
but for lunch today, had it with spinach.
a healthier choice, especially since i made the adobo with thighs.
yumm-o!
