and ashley is with us for a whole week for spring break...

we use to have 2 animals in this home.
but unfortunately it didn't quite work out with the dog =(
so now we only have our 2 oscar fish....
(the other one is hiding behind this one, i guess he's kinda shy)...

sorry for the reflection from the aquarium.
oh well.

today is a full day of clean the house a bit and homework.
laundry too, w/c is my FAVE thang to do...NOT!

one more day til our ashley comes home.
she's flying in tomorrow a.m.!!!!
yey-yah!

day 23, "moon..."

and we woke up to one of the most beautiful sunrise & skies...

at 6:35 a.m. today...

today's dailies:

• laundry
• vacuuming
• go for a walk
• set the bedsheets
• put some make-up on
• a lil grocery shopping of basics only
• maybe get some scrappy time in???

we'll see how this list goes.

kinda clean, i guess

another quickie...
i'm really tired this a.m.
this a.m. started out a bit rough on the edges.
but again, it's prob b/c of the fatigue.
managed tho' to finally put selene to her early morning nap...
and take the day 22 photo, "kitchen sink"

yes, i have "kinda dirty" dishes in the sink!
so what...
i've got cleaned ones in the dishwasher that'll be put away by maiya later on today.
at least i rinse off and place the dirties in the right side.
this will go on until tonite.
i'm not "mrs perfect i gotta make sure everything is clean all the time"
i have my lazy dayz too.
i'm allowed to have some.

on another note of baby-ness...
this is her 1st taste of cheerios...
and she loves it...

the service was pretty good vs chili's....
one...because the waitress acknowledged we had a baby and was careful...
chili's...they did not....
secondly, the waitress did not place hot food in front of selene...
chili's...they did...
can u say...stupid?

after lunch headed over to the mall...
picked up our pottery and they turned out pretty pretty,
maiya had $20 from nana & ampa, so we headed over forever 21...
she bought a pair of striped shorts that had suspenders attached.
suspenders are her thang nowadayz.
then w/ selene's 20 bucks, we bought her some velcro sneakers.
now those shoes are made for walking.
then my hubby bought me a pair of maui jim's sunglasses as a 3rd yr anniversary gift.
thank you my hubby!
afterwards, walked around the mall and stopped by the vans store.
i suggested that we all buy some vans, of the same type & color...
and then wear at the mall as a family...
and say...hello...we are the vans family.
j/k!
i wouldn't mind getting a pair tho, they look comfy.

we just might have to go back someday and get some...
and rename ourselves as...
"the vans family."
lol.

it's constant thing...
clean up & put away...
then selene always has fun taking it all out so that you can start all over again!

it was a bit chili's last nite....

being a bit corny like my hubby...
lol.

last night we were planning to go to red lobster to celebrate our 3rd year anniversary.
but didn't go as planned.
so we went to chili's for dinna...

i surely did not eat healthy either...
which made me feel real gluttonous (sp?)...
if i had known that the quesadilla explosion salad had fried torilla chips, i would have had them exclude it out.
ya live and learn i guess.
it was tasty though, love the dressing and the corn relish.
next time also will have the dressing on the side.

anyway, today for lunch we're heading to red lobster.
then hit the mall to pick up our potttery.
and shop a lil too.

it is actually "chilly" out right now, gonna have to bundle up.

a high note on a green morning

loving these past 3 years!

yesterday was our 3rd yr anniversary..
we'll be celebrating tonight @ dinnertime..

but we did get to exchange gifts last night...

he got me this lovely card and even more lovlier STARBUCKS gift card!!!!
yey-yah!
i used it this a.m. and got myself a grande iced skinny caramel macchiato.
i'll have to go the "tall" route from here to get more mileage off the card.

supplied used:  cocoa daisy "pier 39" kit: crate paper & pink paislee patterned papers, american crafts cardstock; add'l supplies from my stash:  stamps by hero arts & michael's, ink:  stampcraft, pen & marker: sharpie, uniball signo, twine, staples, punch:  fiskars.

the mini-album...
for this one i used the cocoa daisy "by the numbers" kit:  papers:  my mind's eye, american crafts letter stickers and elle's studio layered numbers.

i love these elle's studio layered numbers, used them to represent our wedding anniversary date...

this was real simple mini-album..
cut up my papers 4x6, decked out the cover w/ the layered numbers and letter stickers...
inserted each photo between each a paper, added my journaling on papers to the opposite side of each photo...
binded everything together with a ring...
and there you go!

my hubby loved it.

it was sunny awhile ago...

hmmm...
well it was about a half hour ago, now it's a bit overcast.
oh well...
i did manage to do my photo-a-day, "sunglasses"...

hung my, my hubz & maiya's shades on a branch of a tree in our front yard...
wanted to do something different.
being in sunny cali, ya always have to have shades.
it's a necessity.

and on another note...
yesterday, maiya passed her taekwondo test for her orange belt....
we were able to watch her in action...

...and promotion to orange!

happy happy 3 years in a row...

today...
is our 3rd year wedding anniversary....

took this..this a.m. while my hubby dropped off maiya at school.
he always has to take it off while going for a run, because he's afraid it'll slip off plus when it's cold out, his fingers tend to get freezy.
he's sensitive like dat!
lol...

and a sneaky peeky on what he's getting...

will share the rest & the card i made for him soon...

anyway,
