oh to be wise as me...

i just noticed but i never posted this one.  i used the Pencil Lines sketch # 175.  my fave part is the stamped butterflies.  i haven't used stamps in so long and man i wish i had been.  they turned out pretty fab-o-lous!  stamped them on pink cardstock and then i cut them out with my handy craft knife.  added some glitter glue in the middle and there you go...beauty beauty butterflies.  i stamped the flowers too.  definitely will be seeing more stamping in my lo's now!

i tore out a quote from confucius from a calendar gift box i got this past xmas.  it says:  "to know what you know and to know what you don't know, that is real wisdom."  ain't that right?!?

and did i say that i love my fiskars border punches and cricut!?!  well i do!  i recently purchased a making memories slice too!  i love that 2!  yey-yah!

just submitted this one on Inspired Blueprints for sketch #43.  these photos were taken last year at one of my (& jesse's) fave restaurants, Tugboat Annie's.  they got some yumm-o brunch there.  lunch and dinner is a must 2.  the only ones missing in these photos are jesse (at the time he was deployed) and ashley, my stepdaughter (she lives in idaho).

here's my take....almost everything on this lo is American Crafts except border punches and other punches, brads, etc.  i used my dymo label maker for the journaling strips and added white brads.  my fave on this lo is the hanging hearts.

Jillibean DT Call & Pencil Lines #176

had such a great time yesterday with my hubz in seattle.  we did a pre-celeb of our 1st yr wedding anniversary.  i'll post photos laterz...

but the real reason i'm posting again is I just did a few lo's, a couple for the Jillibean Soup Design Team Call, one for Pencil Lines sketch #176 and another one just for fun.  i'll post the "just for fun" one at a later time.

here's the one i did for the Jillibean Soup DT call and Pencil Lines #176.  i so fell in love with these papers, did a lot of border punching and layering.  made my own lil heart flower accents by using a heart punch, adhering with foam squares and adding a button w/ floss and then used leftover strips from my border punching as stems.  i think it turned out pretty fab-o-lous!  the photos are of me and my hubz during our civil wedding and reception.  we have been married for one year now.

just a few sneaky peakies for my 2nd lo for the Jillibean DT Call, i'll post this one a little later after march 15th:

did a lot of border punching and layering.   i just love all the colors in this lo.  the papers worked so well with my photos. punched a few butterflies and layered them on top of my borders on the left.  i used the leftover strip again from border punching and added that too onto the left border underneath the cutesy butterflies.  added Stickles on the butterflies and the layered flower accent on the lower right hand corner of my lo. for the layered flower, i adhered it on top of one Jillibean's journaling spots.  i used my cricut for the silhouette circles and my flower.  used a martha stewart border punch above my photo and layered leftovers from that too.  used 2 kinds of fiskars border punches.  did a tone on tone border on the right.  this was such a fun lo to do!  one of my favez!

good morning friday!  you're finally here...whew!  it's raining outside but that won't let me down.  i'm actually going to miss it once we move to cali this summer.

anyway, it's time to post something different this time.  this one i used sketch # 42 from Inspired Blueprints.  i love that site, the sketches are great and the people are so nice and supportive.  good thing i checked their blog, b/c they have a Design Team Call.  and i'm going for it!  yey-yah!

oh yeah back to my post...this one is of my daughter, maiya, and my hubby, jesse eating some ice cream at mcd's.  this was the same day he got back from a 6-month deployment, he wanted to eat somewhere of her choosing and she chose.

well i did not make the Lily Bee DT, but i'm really happy i tried out.  but 2 of my idols did make the team, Iris Babao Uy and Piradee Talvanna.    wow!

here's a lil project i did that i was going to submit for the Lily Bee Design Team Call but i decided to submit 2 lo's instead...maybe i should have submitted this one, it actually turned out...aight!  i made this out of 2 bingo chipboards i got in previous kit from A Million Memories.  i knew it would come in handy one day.

this is dedicated to my family. 

honestly, i completely forgot to put myself in it.  good thing maiya was watching out for me, my lil protector.

my new toy

i finally got it...adobe photoshop elements 8 and premiere elements 8!!!!  this has been on my wish list for awhile now!  after much debate between this and picassa....i made my choice!  it'll be worth the investment. 

i'll be playing this new toy and getting to know for the next few days or so...lol!

he's back!

my hubz that is, after a month in school! he got in yesterday around 2 p.m.!  yey-yah!

i had a bizy day yesterday...

• dropped off da parents @ the airport
• waited a few hours at the airport for da hubby
• went back home to pick up our daughter, maiya
• had dinner at New Sushi & Teriyaki, had me some beef udon soup, one of my favez
• headed back to seatac area, southcenter mall and dropped maiya off w/ her dad's fiancee
• chilled and had a mojito cubano and da hubz had a blue moon at Bahama Breeze
• went home and hit traffic
• got back around 9ish and crashed

he just finished washing the cars a few minutes ago so i'm off to have a yumm-o snack, cupcakes with cream cheese frosting with some red suga crystals.  yey-yah!

i just got notice that my Little Red Scrapbook March 2010 kit will be on it's way.  it's full of one of my favez, Sassafras papers and so many other goodies:

 this one has some Jillibean Soup papers, yumm-o!  i'm thinkin of using it to submit for their Design Team Call.  why not?  we'll see if i have time and if my kit comes in on time! 

these will be my last kits coming my way for now, since i'll be moving to cali soon and need to save some $$$.  i love you babez!

just had to post something that i did 2 sundays ago... this one is dedicated to my very good friend, claire.  we have been friends since 1993 back in college.  we lost touch for a bit after she moved to mexico, but about summer of last yr, we found each other on facebook.  the photos in this lo were of when claire paid me a surprise visit with the help of my sis.  definitely one of the best gifts that summer!
